the FAF

thanks to everyone who came out to the fall arts festival in woodbury, new jersey and stopped to chat and purchase some prints and cards, and to all of the little girls who requested cat drawings! it was a fun weekend with great weather and delicious cheesesteaks, followed by a week of driving through all six new england states and québec, unbelievably beautiful this time of year.

barbarella

i watched roger vadim's 1968 space romp "barbarella: queen of the galaxy," which explained where duran duran got their name and inspired me to try my own interpretation of barbarella's appearance, using digital collage. for most of the "textures," i used hubble space telescope photographs from NASA's royalty free image gallery.
