my new studio

new studio 1
we moved to a new apartment, and for the first time in my life i have my own studio, which is a fabulous luxury. i've worked from a desk in my bedroom until now, and it makes such a difference to have a room designated specifically for work. not only that, but i was able to separate my painting area from my scanning, printing and computer area, which eliminates distraction and helps me separate tasks. all that daylight helps, too!new studio 3 new studio 4 new studio 6 new studio 5

Oh wow, this looks so clean and plain and pure! These pictures inspire me, to go through my little atelier and get rid of stuff, that draws off my attention and concentration, just by being there :)

This is so pretty! I´m currently working from our living room and I can´t wait to move to a bigger apartment and have my own room to use as a studio.

Love the two Czech artifacts: the Little Mole ("Krteček") figure perched on the tip of a Koh-i-noor pencil! :-)
Your artwork is so beautiful and inspirational! It has the heartwarming feel of children's books that I read while growing up in Czechoslovakia.
Is there perhaps any Czech illustrator that you like? I'd love to know.

thank you zuzka! it makes me happy that you think my work has that feel. i have quite a few little artifacts acquired during my time in prague. as for illustrators, i really love květa pacovská :)

Your workingspace is soo nice. I love the light and that it is so big.I wonder if I could ask what printer and scanner you are using. I find it so hard to find printers and scanners that are good. I am working towards a Christmas exhbition and are a bit in a need. I would be happy if you would share it, however I understand if you don´t. Thanks for beeing such an inspiration with your lovely artwork:)

thank you!
of course it's no secret and i'm happy to help. my printer is an EPSON Stylus Photo R2000 (used to have an R800 which is just as good, only upgraded because i wanted to use a wider variety of paper sizes and textures) and my scanner it an EPSON Perfection V500 Photo, which i'm very happy with as well.
i hope that helps, good luck on the christmas exhibition! :)

Dear Yelena. THANK YOU so much for your advice! There are so many products at the market and I feel so lost. So I appreciate your anserw so much. I am going to sell some pictures at a Christmas market so I am kind of in a hurry:D. Big smile from my heart to you!

I love these photos and seeing your work in progress! The little vimeo video you made a while ago is great! Will you make something like that again? It is so inspiring to see how the sketch of an idea becomes a piece of art. Keep up the great work! I'd love to visit your exhibit one day :)
