cheapside hoard

a couple of illustrations for amelia gregory's review of the cheapside hoard exhibition at the museum of london, dedicated to the contents of a buried wooden box discovered by workmen under a london building site in 1912: a collection of more than 400 pieces of elizabethan and jacobean (16th-17th c.) jewelry. the hoard, which is being displayed together for the first time in more than 100 years, will be on view through april 2014.
