i want you always to remember me. will you remember that i existed, and that i stood next to you here like this?
happy 63rd birthday, mr. murakami. this is my small tribute. your books have deeply affected the way i think about life, love, loss, and memory, and i carry your sad and beautiful world of magic with me everywhere i go.

this is most lovely indeed! it deserves to be in your shop :)
How beautiful. Norwegian Wood is one of my favourite books. I do want to rad his new one.

Beautiful! And lovely choice of passage from a book full of great passages!
thank you all for the positive response. it really is a wonderful book. my copy is well-loved around the edges.
this is actually done from sketches that i did back in 2009-10 for an independent study. i meant to illustrate the entire first chapter, and then abandoned it. now i'm thinking maybe i should go for it and just do the whole thing.
hila, you really think so? perhaps i'll do a few more frames and then make a small poster to sell in my shop.
y.
beautiful.
yelena, this is lovely...! i agree with hila, and i think it stands very well on its own. i would be delighted to purchase it, i think it captures the mood of that book perfectly.
Lovely picture! And a passage from my favourite Murakami's novel - thank you!:)
oh, how could I miss this! haruki murakami is one of my favourite writers of all time! I've read a dozen of his books (with so many of them, it's rather difficult to read them all at a fast pace).
such a lovely tribute :)
norwegian wood is one of my favourites, alongside the wind-up bird chronicle.
