sketchbook project

Photobucket
the traveling sketchbook project exhibition is coming to the hillyer art space in washington, d.c. next month! i was asked to participate - along with a group of other local artists - by filling out a blank moleskine sketchbook for a complementary show called "sketch" at transformer gallery. i am trying to be a little more experimental and free than usual, so am mostly working with cut paper shapes and collage.

i'm sorry to hear that, anonymous.

luckily, it's just an experimental sketchbook, meant to be freeing from my normal work. you might want to look away in the next few weeks though; i'll be posting more and it's all in the same vein!

Hi Yelena!

Hope you remember me! Amazing work as usual :D
I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you have been. And though I have not been to any fancy art school, or even had any formal training, I have started my very own art blog , homestudioandlola.blogspot.com
I will be soooooooooooo happy if you took a little to time to come see it!

Best,
Sreetama
